The conference is hosted by the Heller-Hurwicz Economics Institute at the University of Minnesota. In this edition of Climate Cast, Bob Litterman, the former head of the risk department at Goldman Sachs, explains how risk models common to the financial industry can help craft climate policy.

Heller-Hurwicz hosts conference on modeling climate change

Economists from across the country are joining forces at the University of Minnesota starting today. It's the beginning of a two-day conference about the economics of climate change. They're working to then model the effects climate change will have on the global economy.

Economists call for carbon tax
